The Carpenter Hotel in Austin was just named one of the “best new hotels in the world” by Travel and Leisure Magazine. It’s a very “Austin” place – an assemblage of new and old buildings that is centered around a renovated 1949 Carpenter’s Union hall and surrounded by heritage pecan trees.
